What Is a Senior Associate in a Law Firm Australia

The highest level a lawyer can achieve in private practice is a senior capital partner – A partner (also known as a “principal”) is a lead lawyer who receives a set portion of the firm`s gross profit as well as a large portion of his or her salary. This means that a partner also assumes the risk of the law firm – in a difficult legal market, they may be able to earn less income. Partners may also choose to take a salary rather than equity. More than half of the partners in Australian law firms have a salary. The program is open to employees who have been with us for at least two years, and the choice of location can be influenced by an employee`s interest in one country, the ability to speak another language, the business needs of one of our clients, or the needs of one of our practice groups – but does not depend on it.
